We’ve all heard the horror stories so follow these 5 steps to ensure you don’t make the same mistakes on your wedding day
We know how exciting and stressful the planning process can be so we’ve create this article just for YOU on how to avoid disaster on one of the most important days of your lives! For many of you, this is your first time, and while nothing is ever perfect, it is essential to enter this process with clear expectation and knowledge to make the best decision for you and your families.
These tips will help you make an educated decision that appeals to both your sense of style and overall unique experience. Remember there’s no “do-overs”, so let’s discuss 5 tips to help you avoid common pitfalls/disappointments on your big day.
1. Know what you're getting
It’s time to ask, “What can you offer me?”
During the consultation, the photographer or sales person will indicate what’s all included in their fee or wedding collection. Some photographers charge for time only and you have to pay for digital files and albums separate. Others offer a collection, which may include high resolution digital files, an album, and specified hours of coverage.
Be sure to ask about their unique offerings. Some photographers offer a complimentary engagement session, destination engagement sessions (shooting your session in a different city) and a collection of fine art albums to choose from.

2. Photography Style
Knowing the photography style that most appeals to you and your partner is such an essential step in ensuring you’re not disappointed with the final product. This requires a little education on your part.
*There’s two types of styles you’ll commonly see: Bright and Airy or Cinematic and Moody
Be sure to review your photographer’s portfolio and ask to see a full wedding gallery. If the photographer is experienced, they should be able to easily provide this for you.

Its important that you actually like the person you’ll be spending 8 to 10 hours with on your wedding day. Beyond imagery, having fun is huge part of the experience on your wedding day.
