Are you ready for a
one-of-a-kind wedding
photography experience?
Sexy. Stylish. Modern wedding experience. This is what you deserve.
Wedding planning can be stressful and we know you want to look stunning in your beautiful dress. Booking the right
bridal makeup artist is an essential factor to looking fabulous in your wedding pictures. Here’s a few tips to help you prepare.
Makeup Styles
Review their portfolio
You recently got engaged and now you're looking at booking all the vendors for your epic wedding! While there's many choices, its important to review the makeup artist portfolio and determine if they're experienced with various skin types. Once you find a few you like, you can starting thinking about timelines of when to book.
Realistic expectations
The booking timeline
Once you determine which makeup artist catches your eye, be sure not to procrastinate on booking. Just to give you a timeline, most of our brides take their engagement session within 3 to 6 months after getting engaged to allow time to send the Save the Date invitations. The reason this is important is because we recommend using the same MUA for your engagement pictures and bridal party. Similar to other wedding vendors, some makeup artist book up a year in advance while others may be open 2 to 3 months before the wedding. Contact your MUA so you have clear expectations.
The process
the makeup consult
The makeup consult is such an essential step in ensuring you book the right makeup artist for you and your bridal party. This is your time to discuss all the things you don't like, expectations and concerns (especially if this is your first time). An experienced makeup artist will educate you on the different makeup types, such as sheer coverage vs. the "caky or full coverage" look, as well as certain applications needed to photograph well.
